Getting Files. The get command in sftp allows you to download files from the sftp server. Usage: get remote-path [local-path] Where remote-path is the file on the server you want to download, and the optional local-path is the path you want to put the file on your machine. It defaults to your current directory. File Move Pattern: 1) We have a copy activity that copies the file from Folder_1 to Folder_ProcessedFiles (These are located at a SFTP location) 2) Delete Activity is used to delete the file after it is copied to Folder_ProcessedFiles. Once the file is copied the SFTP service is holding on to the file, and this is causing the Delete Activity. SFTP, which stands for SSH File Transfer Protocol, or Secure File Transfer Protocol, is a separate protocol packaged with SSH that works in a similar way but over a secure connection. The advantage is the ability to leverage a secure connection to transfer files and traverse the filesystem on both the local and remote system.
