Skipsoft android toolkit stuck at downloading boot.img

Since it didn't have root, i used Skipsoft toolkit to relock the bootloader. I was presented with a screen on the pixel asking if I wanted to relock the bootload (i had to use vol. buttons to move between yes and no and use power to select).. Progress Report: Skipsoft didn't work, XDA toolkit has generated a little bit more of a response. Toolkit detects a fastboot ready device but not what device it is and when i tried to reboot to recovery it reported that the phone isn't in adb mode.
