Skipsoft android toolkit stuck at downloading boot.img
· DOWNLOAD THE SKIPSOFT UNIFIED ANDROID TOOLKIT *HERE* (FROM bltadwin.ru) NOTE: Key files are signed with a Digital Certificate from bltadwin.ru but some may get picked up as potentially harmful by Antivirus Programs and deleted. They are not harmful, this is a false positive given because of the compiler used. I just received my 32GB Google Pixel today and was eager to root. I used SkipSoft Android ToolKit to install ADB and drivers, unlock the bootloader, and to eventually root and install BusyBox. While in the process of installing a recovery, I accidentally rebooted the device before finishing the instructions outlined by the SkipSoft Android ToolKit. · This is phase 1. Phase 2 is to add all the Samsung Toolkits to the Unified Android Toolkit. There is also an option at startup to run a Basic Android Toolkit which any Android device can use to install drivers, make app backups, install apk files, reboot the device into different modes and run a command prompt for manual input.
If the toolkit asks you to download a newer version of SuperSU, modified boot image or TWRP Recovery, simply hit OK. These files are needed to root your device. Since it didn't have root, i used Skipsoft toolkit to relock the bootloader. I was presented with a screen on the pixel asking if I wanted to relock the bootload (i had to use vol. buttons to move between yes and no and use power to select).. Progress Report: Skipsoft didn't work, XDA toolkit has generated a little bit more of a response. Toolkit detects a fastboot ready device but not what device it is and when i tried to reboot to recovery it reported that the phone isn't in adb mode.
