Game crashes when I join a server. It gets to "Extracting Files" or sometimes "Sending Client Info" and then just closes. Right click gmod in your steam library, click properties. Go to local files and click verify integrity of game files. That will check for any missing or corrupt files you have and redownload them. Also I noticed it crashes after it finishes downloading, which tells me that the file is in the computer somewhere, but it fails to move it to the "addons" folder after downloading. Okay, that may of been an add on or a file that a server has made you download a file which edited the startup and therefore edit it to just crash and play sounds, the only solution to this was as you said to reinstall Garry's mod. Mayonnaise, while the guy before me, may have meant well, let me tell you my situation. I had the same thing with crahsing multiple times on multiple maps, but only on singleplayer, like yourself, so I ruled the cause of the crashing as an addon related thing, the reason was, after I finally pulled out my old addons folder, and replaced it with a new addons folder that only bltadwin.ru addons.
