S3 preview file instead of downloading

You may be offline or with limited connectivity. Try downloading instead. You have to set your putObject params as follows to view pdf instead of download. params = { Bucket: bltadwin.ruS3_BUCKET, Key: Body: ContentDisposition:"inline", ContentType:"application/pdf" };.  · Set the correct headers on your files in Amazon S3 in order to force the browser to download rather than opening the file. Set these: Content-Disposition: attachment; filename=bltadwin.ru Content-Type: application/octet-stream. You will need to set them when uploading the files to S3.

I just started learning and using S3, read the docs. Actually I didn't find anything to fetch the file into an object instead of downloading it from S3? if this could be possible, or I am missing something? Actually I want to avoid additional IO after downloading the file. I much prefer the old IE/Edge download file method with the open vs save option pop-up window that allowed the user to open the file (to a temp location) or save/save-as the file to a location specified by the user at the time of download, all of which occurred before the file is downloaded locally. In the Applications section, click the option next to "Portable Document Format (PDF)" and choose "Save File." That's it! Have Edge Save PDFs Instead of Displaying Them. Microsoft Edge uses the built-in PDF viewer to let you preview files. Turn this option off, and the browser will save your PDFs instead of previewing them.

Safari browser shows a message about no inline pdf support and gives a download button. Chrome on iOS is doing the same as above, but on Android, it gives an option to choose any installed app on the device to open that file. Mozilla shows a message informing the user that a plugin is needed. If my pdf file is in the same folder/ server (my EC2 instance) as my webpage file, then bltadwin.ru is able to display the pdf file. However, when i use a downloadable link from my AWS-s3 (where my pdf files are stored), the pdf viewer does not display the content, instead it downloads it - which is not what i want. If you are on Confluence Server or Data Center you could create a user macro that you can drop onto your page that will change the file links in the attachments macro to preview the document instead of downloading it. Here is the user macro. Macro Name: preview_attachments.
